Mosquito Spotter ·

Privacy Policy

Mosquito Spotter · Last updated: November 1, 2026

Mosquito Spotter (“the app”), developed by Another Level (“we”), does not collect your personal data and does not send any information to a server. The app has no internet features; all analysis happens on your device.

Camera

In the Find tab, the camera image is analyzed on your device in real time to find mosquitoes resting on walls and ceilings. No photos or videos are saved or sent anywhere.

Microphone

In the Listen tab, only after you tap Start listening, microphone sound is analyzed on your device in real time to detect mosquito wingbeats. Sound is never saved as a recording or sent anywhere. The times of detected wingbeats are shown only while listening and are cleared when you start again or close the app.

What is stored on your device

Language and settings (sound, haptics, flashlight, vibrate on find), game progress (unlocked zones and chapters, best scores, stars, notebook cards), the on-device BEST 10 ranking (3-letter initials you enter and scores), and how many times you shared the app (for in-game lives). This stays only on your device; we cannot access it. There is no account. To play sounds in the Sound lab and the alarm, the app briefly writes a synthesized tone file to the device’s temporary folder; it is not a recording.

When information leaves your device (only when you choose)

Share the app / Tell a friend: tapping the button opens the iOS share sheet and sends a short app introduction (and App Store link) to the app you pick. We cannot see who you shared with; only whether sharing finished is used for the in-game life reward.

Permissions

Camera: to find mosquitoes on walls and ceilings (video is not saved or sent).
Microphone: to detect mosquito wingbeat sounds (sound is not saved or sent).

Third parties

The app includes no advertising networks, third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Children’s privacy

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Use Settings (⚙️) → Reset game records to erase game records (lives earned by sharing are kept), or delete the app to erase everything on the device.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above will reflect any changes.
